There are two train stations (Gare) at CDG airport, 'Aeroport Charles de Gaulle1' near Terminal 3 within the 'Roissypole' complex, for the RER regional trains into Paris and 'Aeroport Charles de Gaulle 2 - TGV' within terminal 2 ( located between Terminal 2E and 2C) for both regional (RER) trains and TGV intercity trains.

See airport plan here..

If you are travelling to somewhere other than Paris  and have chosen the TGV as your choice of transport what you need to do is to make your way to the train station (Gare) 'Aeroport Charles de Gaulle 2 - TGV' within terminal 2. This is for both regional trains (RER) and TGV trains.

Aeroport Charles de Gaulle 1 train station.

'Aeroport Charles de Gaulle1' (CDG1) is not, as you might expect, in terminal 1 but within the Roissypole Gare (station) ...see above...

Roissypole at Charles de Gaulle airport

...which is also the stop for the CDG VAL airport shuttle train for Terminal 3.

At CDG 1 you can take the RER train into central Paris but you can't catch the TGV  here - you need to go to  'Aeroport Charles de Gaulle 2 -TGV' for that.

'Aeroport Charles de Gaulle 2-TGV' (CDG2-TGV) is in the heart of terminal 2 between Terminal 2E and 2C

Descend to Level 2 where you will find the ticket office for the station. The office is split into two sides, one side for tickets for Paris trains (RER B) and the other side for intercity trains tickets, which includes TGV trains.

Once you have your tickets you then descend to Level 1 - remember the station is split into two distinct sides, one for RER suburban trains (for Paris city centre), the other, the one you want, is for the TGV high speed intercity trains.

  • Level 5: Hotel shuttle bus shuttle lines N1 and N2

  • Level 4: Pedestrian access to Terminal 2 and the  CDG VAL.

  • Level 3: Transit Level

  • Level 2: Ticket information and sales & ticket offices and vending machines

  • Level 1: Access to the trains, remember there is a separate sides for TGV and the RER
