Paris-Orly Airport, (ORY), the busiest airport for domestic flights within France, was also once the premier airport for the city prior to the construction of Charles de Gaulle Airport. It is conveniently located 14 km southwest of the city centre. It has flights to and from cities in the UK and the rest of mainland Europe plus to Africa, the Caribbean, the Middle East, North America and Southeast Asia. The airport itself has four passenger terminals, 1,2,3 & 4 served by shuttle train, taxis and buses all of which are well signposted from within the terminal buildings for onward travel.
After touchdown it's on to baggage reclamation - you can expect to wait around half an hour at the carousel. After collecting your bags (make use of free trolleys if you have more than hand luggage) you head through customs - normally only random checks are done here so stroll confidently through! After customs you'll exit into one of the general areas of Orly Airport where you can make your way to Paris or another destination.
