Taking the RER train from Paris to CDG airportYou have finished you visit to Paris 'The city of Light', packed and now you have to head back to Charles de Gaulle airport for your return flight home, sad, we know but necessary! If you have decided to use the train to get you there hopefully your time here has made you more familiar with the excellent transport system. You need to take the RER B3 train so you need to get to a Paris station which is connected to the RER train system. (More about RER trains here)
The connecting stations within ' Zone 1' of central Paris are Denfert-Rochereau,Saint-Michel-Notre-Dame,Chatelet-Les Halles and Gard de Nord. You can use a taxi, bus or metro to get to one of these stations if they are not within walking distance of your hotel / location. If you are nearer Line C then use this to get to St.Michel-Notre-Dame where you can change on to line B. Take only trains in the direction of ' Aéroport CDG' B3 and NOT the ones marked to 'Mitry Claye' B5.
There are two stations at Charles de Gaulle, Paris - the first stop is 'Aeroport Charles de Gaulle1' for Terminal 1 and Terminal 3 and the second stop is ' Aeroport Charles de Gaulle 2 TGV' for Terminal 2 so check where your flight departs from before heading to the airport.
